Pastor Eric Anderson
Pastor Eric Anderson is the founder and visionary Lead Pastor of GOCC. He was called to preach in 2000 under the leadership of Pastor James C. Carrington Jr. He was licensed in 2001 and later ordained in 2004.
For the past 19 years, Pastor Anderson has held several leadership roles with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Ministry (FCA). He served as the East Houston Director and Greater Houston Director for 11 years. As the Greater Houston Director he was responsible for strategic planning, fiscal management, support raising for ministry initiatives and projects, supervision of staff, board development and overall direction and leadership of the Houston FCA Ministry.
Pastor Anderson currently serves as the Texas Regional Director of International Advancement. He has the unique privilege of mobilizing staff, boards, ministry partners and donors in Texas connecting them to eleven countries in Latin America North through the FCA initiatives of PRAY, GIVE, GO. The Latin America North Countries include Belize, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, and Puerto Rico.
Passionate about children and teens, Pastor Anderson served for 11 years at the Greater Houston YMCA Association. He served in various roles including Child Care Director, Day Camp Director, Teen Director, and District Child Care Manager.
Pastor Anderson has traveled to 15 countries participating in leadership development conferences, international capacity conferences and leading various ministry trips for sports camps, training trips and vision trips.
Pastor Anderson is a graduate of Humble High School where he excelled in sports. He played football at Coffeyville Community College and Sam Houston St. University. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the College of Biblical Studies in Leadership and Biblical Studies. He is currently completing his master’s degree in Cross Culture Ministry at Dallas Theology Seminary.
Celebrating 21 years of marriage, Pastor Anderson and Sheryl Anderson are parents to two beautiful daughters and granddaughter.
